Brothers for Veterans, a 501(c)3 Non-Profit, was started in 2019 by three brothers who not only share an admiration for the Men and Women who serve our Country but also share a love of the outdoors and adventure. Their story is a bit unique as they come from a unique family. Luke Bawel and Tyler Flick are step-brothers and Brock Bawel is a half-brother to both of them. More importantly, they are BROTHERS. A strong bond that can’t be broken. The one thing that has strengthened that bond is their love of the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and adventure.

The brothers have always shared respect for the Men and Women (and their families) that serve our great Country. Having grandparents and a brother-in-law that served in the military, they have had the great privilege of knowing Veterans firsthand and the struggles they may encounter. This was the driving force that led Brock, Luke, and Tyler to create Brothers for Veterans.

Brothers for Veterans is committed to working with Veterans and their families, focusing on getting Veterans into the great outdoors and sharing their love for adventure. 100% of funds raised will go directly to the Veterans, their families and fund THEIR experiences.

If you would like to assist in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out to a member of their team or you can look them up on social media by searching “Brothers for Veterans”. Their organization is committed to giving 100% of the donations (whether it be monetary or otherwise) directly back to the Veterans and their families.

Brothers for Veterans do not have anyone on payroll and team members personally fund their own portion of all experiences.

100% OF ALL FUNDS RAISED GO TO THE VETERANS & THE PROGRAM.

They would love your help with funds, property, and any other way you feel you can help. If it relates to hunting or the outdoors, and you would like to donate it, please don’t hesitate to do so. We have a button at the top of our site where you can sign up to donate, or you can follow the link here to go to our donation form. Luke Bawel

God and his faith are the foundation of Luke’s life. He has been married to his best friend and beautiful wife Cassy since 2013 and they have three amazing children; Zane, Rayln, and Mae.

As a youth Luke always had a love of the outdoors. Growing up he didn’t have a mentor for the outdoors so he didn’t get a lot of time in the woods hunting. Not to be discouraged, he read a lot of books and learned many things the hard way as he grew. He was passionate about learning more and became a true student of the sport of hunting and fishing.

Luke has been working for Jasper Engines and Transmissions since 2008 and currently works with their Transmission Division. He has three Britany bird dogs and enjoys taking them out in search of upland birds. He also enjoys turning wrenches in the garage.

Tyler Flick

Growing up in Southern Indiana, an appreciation for the great outdoors was passed down to Tyler at a young age. His grandfather was the first to teach him how to hunt, fish, and enjoy various other outdoor activities. He, and other important people in his life, also instilled an appreciation for the freedom that we have to do so.

Tyler met his wife when they were just young kids in high school, and they have been married since May of 2015. They have three dogs; Trixie, Sue, and Sally. They enjoy doing things together outdoors and spending time with their families. Tyler has been working at Jasper Engines & Transmissions since 2015, and is currently in the diesel department.

Brock’s journey to the outdoors was very unique compared to that of his brothers. Brock being the youngest brother quickly started to take note of his brother’s love of the great outdoors and that intrigued his curiosity to learn. He was forced to annoy his brothers until they would finally take him. He has learned most of what he knows about hunting from his brothers. Although, recently he has gotten hooked on bowfishing with his friends.

Brock is currently studying Industrial Engineering and technology with a minor in Organizational Leadership at Purdue University. He will graduate from Purdue in the spring of 2020 and he plans to continue his education to fulfill a minor in business at a community college. Along with getting his business minor, He hopes to get an internship out West for a year.
